Build: Thick-pelted all around, with extra fluff around his chest that often makes him appear to be strutting about. As a pup he is quite chubby, but as he ages, this thickness molts into a fierce musculature that Eli is well able to put to use. Eli's muzzle is relatively short, his ears tapered, and his paws are large. His narrow brow and contemplative eyes make it easy to tell even at a glance that there is more to this warrior than brute strength.

  • { AUTHENTIC, INDEPENDENT, and SELF-MOTIVATED:

    • Elias marches to the beat of his own drum. As he matures out of the natural childhood dependence on his parents, he develops a strong system of beliefs and a great deal of self-confidence. Though respectful, Eli does not feel beholden to any particular authority figure save the Great Spirit themselves. He will disregard rules that do not suit his views of morality with little hesitation but is doggedly loyal to his own personal values.

    • Neither materialistic nor particularly ambitious, Elias is charismatic and unrestrained. He is not overly preoccupied with "could be"s, despite (or perhaps because of) his visions. Growing up in a time of uncertainty and fear, Elias comes to believe that the future is only as predictable as the One sees fit for it to be. The only way he can contribute to a better tomorrow is to ensure his own actions each day are sincere. While this provides a great deal of flexibility, it also leaves Elias in a constant flight of ideas and goals and prevents him from ever truly settling down.
  • { CLEVER and DISCERNING:

    • Elias possesses a keen mind and a great deal of curiosity. He grasps new concepts quickly and typically enjoys surprises. A skilled debater, Elias is good at forming his arguments to appeal to his audience and knows well how to turn a phrase. This skill is most often put to use in his personal relationships, as Eli has little love for large crowds and prefers to promote harmony rather than an individual advantage.

    • From the time he could speak, Elias has always seemed to have a sixth sense about him. Sometimes jokingly accused of being a mind-reader, he is able to discern the motives and actions of others with a surprising accuracy, a skill which he continues to hone as he matures. Eli trusts his intuition above all else, even when lacking firm physical evidence or peer support for his beliefs. 
  • { INTREPID and OUTSPOKEN:

    • A thrill seeker with several hedonistic tendencies, Elias may neglect his own safety in favour of an excitement or ideal. While this adds to his charm, it also has a tendency to get him into trouble.

    • His firm belief in the greater good and faith in those around him can be quite inspiring, even creating self-fulfilling prophecies. Elias is genuine above all else, and will labor tirelessly in pursuit of an ideal. He does not actively seek a following, but his convicted tone and the sheer nerve of his idealism tends to spark a response. Intentionally or not, Elias's outspoken manner can generate considerable sentiment and inspire others, both support and rivalry alike.

  •  { COMPASSIONATE but JUST:

    • Elias is empathetic and instinctively interested in the wellbeing of others. He is eager to increase in understanding and generally respectful towards alternative points of view. He prefers a great deal of individual freedom and believes that all wolves should be allowed to follow The Path according to their own conviction.

    • Elias prefers compassion when slighted, but is by no means a pushover. There are certain rules of decency that must be respected. Actions which unapologetically violate his boundaries will meet firm and calculated resistance. Ultimately he respects himself as much as he respects others, and insists on receiving the same in response. Especially in his youth, Elias struggles to know when to disengage - opponents which continue to push his buttons cause considerable frustration and even spark his temper.

    • Elias sees things, which he will eventually interpret as ghosts caught in the world between. As a pup these shadows frighten him, but he comes to accept their presence as he ages and prays for them when they appear. More than this, Elias insists that the One answers him when he prays - for him the Great Spirit is very much a tangible force that he can interact with.

    • He is a starchaser with an infectious spirit about him. Rather than dream of possibilities, Elias wants to see them made real. He is always in pursuit of some goal and trusts his conscience to find answers. This can put him at odds with more realistic types, and even cause conflict with friends who may not understand what sort of passion it is that so ceaselessly drives Elias.

Tzuriel and Shoshana's firstborn children, Elias and his litermates came into Aryn at a time of instability and change. All three seemed marked by an innate connection to the Great Spirit, perhaps evidence that the One is at work in mysterious ways. With these new lives come a chance for a better future, and perhaps a way to heal Aryn's wounds - those both old and yet to come.
