Story-based ARPG Hub

Hey guys! I've got a bit of a question / suggestion and I need help to make it a reality!

Here is the premise - I LOVE my DracoStryx birds, but don't often have the motivation to use them due to time restraints and community emphasis on having birds with high AP/breeding value.

Dracostryx is, in large amount, a breeding game and I understand this. I even enjoy breeding for special colours/species myself! But the world I have built for my stryx and their riders is... well, a bit empty. And as much as I love it, there is not much cause to develop the storyline because most of my efforts are sucked into finding ways to churn out AP.

As the group has grown, I've had increasing difficulty keeping up with demand for high-level birds and haven't been able to really connect with other Stryx-riders out there like I used to in the beginning. And the community is what first drew me into the world of Stryx to start with!

I have noticed a few others lamenting the trend as well -

I could make my headcannon Stryx-verse open for others to join in, and turn it into a collaborative world, instead of a private story for just my birds!  

Why not facilitate an emphasis on community and enjoying the characters as they are? Why not offer a way to translate DracoStryx events like the Wisp Hunt into opportunities to tell stories? It would be absolutely thrilling to me to let the items and points gained from scavenging/arena battles/event entries build up naturally, as a reward for enjoying the journey, rather than being the end goal!

I hope I am not the only one who feels this way! xD

This would not be a group-sanctioned "tribe" but rather a community of friends who enjoy Dracostryx and want to make the most of the incredible opportunities for characters and growth that these birds provide!

The group would provide a basic lore/world to get involved in that would grow and change as the characters shaped it through IC activities. I have been a faction moderator over at Domain-of-the-Wolf for several years now and by far my favourite aspect of it is working with the rest of the members to create group-altering storylines!

Charaka is reprimanded for failing to inform Athena of Blutwald's situation, and leaving the territory without permission.

Ideally other breed-groups would be included in this community as well, but I'd want to start with a main focus on Stryx to sort of get a feel for how the group would function!

What sorts of opportunities would you like to see in such a place?

FOR THE GROUP SO FAR:

A group where the storytellers of Dracostryx (and other ARPGs) can collaborate and confab!
In a nutshell we:
- Are focused on the character-development and storytelling aspects of owning registered fantasy breeds!
- Have a basic map and some fundamental lore, with space for interpretation and exploration intentionally left in!
- Are not skill or experience based, art is a journey and this community is intended to encourage everyone to enjoy that journey!
- Host optional events and challenges to encourage members to experiment and explore!
- Are self-paced, meaning no activity checks! Emphasis is placed on story over currency- or prestige-farming, with the expectation that EXP/AP/etc. will build up naturally as a reward for enjoying one's self and characters!
 As we are just starting out, primary focus for group events is placed on DracoStryx ! However,  all "Breed Group" creatures are currently accepted. As the group grows

Please let me know what you guys think, I am really excited about the idea but would definitely need help and the best way to tailor this experience to the community is, of course, to ask the community!

If it seems like something several people would enjoy, I will keep working on it and also begin to search for moderators to help with brainstorming and worldbuilding! ovo
